Maine Fishermen’s Forum 2027 Seminar Request for Proposals
The Maine Fishermen’s Forum is accepting proposals through November 27th, 2026, for educational seminars held over the three days of the Forum taking place at the Samoset Resort from March 4-6, 2027.
We welcome proposals that:
- Address important issues facing the wild harvest fishing and aquaculture industries
- Promote information sharing among industry, scientists and managers
- Promote audience engagement and interaction
- Bring contrasting perspectives and civil dialogue among participants
- Strengthen networks and collaboration
The deadline for proposals is November 27th. Proposals will be vetted by the Forum’s board of directors and all submitters will be notified of selection by December 18, 2026.
Association Meetings at the Forum
If you wish to apply for space for an association meeting, or to use meeting space for any reason, please use this application. Meetings will be accommodated on a space available basis, with priority given to educational seminars.
Travel Requests
Travel may be supported in exceptional circumstances only. Please email event producer Kim Curless at forum@mainefishermensforum.org if you wish to request travel funds.
Final decisions on seminars, meetings, and scheduling are at the sole discretion of the Maine Fishermen’s Forum.
